• In Honor of St. Patricks Day.....

Around this time last year, the Satori girls  posted one of our very first blog posts featuring the Dang Lucky T-shirt. This year, in honor of St. Patricks day, and our previous post, we wanted to share a little bit of luck with all of you! Let me start by saying, that we all have days where we feel down in the dumps, but we feel that counting all of the things we feel lucky, and/or blessed, to have in our lives. It is so easy to simply  overlook the small things, but honestly those small things are what matter! Although, it is fun to partake is St. Patty's day shenanigans, it is equally as rewarding to reflect upon what made us feel lucky this year. It could be something as big as, a promotion at work, celebrating ANOTHER successful year of marriage, or as small as, a stranger letting you go ahead of them at the coffee shop. Take a look at all the things you may have looked over this year and you might just find you have had quite a bit of luck! Have a fabulous week!

  • Beating The Winter Rut On The Quest For Spring

We all feel it.  It is that feeling right around March where you can see spring over the horizon but the weather indicates anything but. Here in Indiana, where Satori is located,  we just had two magnificent days of 50 degree weather. Everyones spirits were lifted and excited about purchasing new spring items. This, however, was short lived. The Midwest was just hit with yet ANOTHER winter storm. I watched peoples disapointment spread all over social media, not to mention feeling my own disapointment. Then I remembered how  short life really is. Although, yes it is exhausting, and yes the lack of sunlight leads to a lack of a smile, there are still things you can do to make yourself feel amazing and get yourself through this last leg of winter! 1. Who says spring can't be indoors? Buy some flowers and put them in a room that you spend the most time in. Make sure they are bright. Colors like yellow, are proven to make a person feel happier. 2. Buy a spring token. Right around this time I will purchase something small and colorful that I think would work perfectly with the new spring trends. Whether it be something small, like the hottest new hue of lipstick for the upcoming season, or a fabulous new top that keeps you excited and moving forward. Check out the fun Satori spring pieces that will fit perfectly into any wardrobe. 3. Enjoy the taste of spring. I always start drinking my favorite spring drinks this time of year. This small spring treat keeps me excited and raises my spirits on the last of the cold winter days. -Stay Fabulous!

  • Carpe Diem

Carpe diem. Seize the day. One thing I learned from my own life experiences whether it be from my sisters passing or my own health setbacks is: you can never get yesterday back. With that being said, I believe that we should all live for the day. I mean really live. Wake up with the intent of reaching your goals every morning. Do not just serve yourself, I try and pay it forward at least once a week. I feel it is of the utmost importance to not solely focus on yourself. If you start by doing the smallest of things such as, simply paying more attention in a conversation not just centered around you, it can create a domino effect and pretty soon you have made a small difference in the world. That is what truly means something. So, what are you waiting for? Go out. Make your life happen and more importantly make a positive difference in someones life. -xoxo

  • Finding YOUR Own Personal Style

image   It may just be a theory, but here at Satori we truly believe in the time old mantra, "Dress for Success". However what does that mean? Many people would say it means to dress well and good things will come. At Satori we define it as; dressing in a way that will give you the confidence you need to power through your day. Do not get me wrong I better than anyone know how good it feels after a long week to run errands in a hoodie and sweatpants, but most of the time I feel my best when I am wearing a fun outfit. So how do you build a closet that allows you to easily pick out outfits that make YOU feel good? It is much more simple than what it appears. Here are some simple and effective steps to finding your personal style and building a fabulous and unique closet. 1. Get inspired! What I mean by this is; start looking at things like Pinterest and magazines. Mark down the things you are drawn to and look for similar pieces in your own closet. 2. Do not underestimate the basics A good white t-shirt and a well made leather jacket may go overlooked but a lot of the time they are essential to a great outfit. You start with one basic such as a t-shirt and jeans then layer on fun accessories that show your personality. My favorite way to do this is with a bold color or fun prints. 3.  Have a signature Whether it be a necklace or a special perfume it is good to always wear something that makes you feel like you. My signature is bold lips. Anytime I am down I throw on some lipstick and it is an instant confidence booster. 4. Be yourself. Above all it is important to remember that being yourself is essential. Believe in yourself and let your confidence shine through! The best accessory a woman can wear is a smile.   Have a fabulous and confident week! -Taylor

  • What it Means to Empower Yourself

What is empowerment? The dictionary definition of empower is ; to pull confidence from something or from within yourself. Empowerment can be drawn from any where or anything. It can be drawn from a fabulous pair of shoes, a new sassy shade of red lipstick, or that great breakfast you had this morning. It can come at anytime. Our goal at Satori is to empower women to feel beautiful and face the world each day with a smile knowing that they are loved and special, so that those women can pass along that same confidence to their daughters and that their daughters will pass it along to their daughters. Empower yourself and Empower others. At Satori we draw that confidence, that strong sense of empowerment  from our fabulous customers who constantly inspire us to do more. You all are beautiful and loved, The Satori women.
