• Be Kind

Here at Satori, we believe in being kind to everyone including ourselves. One small kind act can change another's whole day around. Being genuine is something we should not forget to be. It is who we are on in the inside that counts the most. Our character speaks louder than our actions. Remember to step back, be patient and listen. Help those around you, go out of your way, your comfort zone, and take action. You never know what is happening behind the curtains and shields people hold up everyday. Also, don't forget to treat yourself right. You can't help someone else until you are helped. Let go of your worries and allow yourself to depend on the loved ones around you. Remember the golden rule? Treat others how you want to be treated. Respecting ourselves allows us to respect others. Being kind will never go out of style. #XOXO P.s. As being kind will never go out of style, neither will the fabulous clothing and accessories here at Satori. Remember to stop in today or shop online!

  • Monday Motivation

"Hey, I know it's Monday, but it's also a new day, a new week and in that lies a new opportunity for something special to happen." - Michael Ealy Monday is something most people do not talk about. They stray and stay away from this subject. Many think of Mondays as dreadful since the end of the week fun is done. But I want to motivate you about Mondays. Mondays allow for a fresh start, new opportunities, new ideas, new goals, more accomplishments, even another fun weekend ahead. Let Monday be your stomping ground to a new day and a fresh week. If you stay in the mindset of Mondays as always depressing, chances are you will continue to be depressed. I encourage you all to set one goal Sunday night to improve your Monday. Don't forget that shopping here at Satori will bring joy to you even on a Monday! XOXO

  • Women Need to Support Other Women.

Hello! This weeks post is going to be addressing an issue in society. It happens everyday. Women tearing down other women. Here at Satori, we are all about empowerment and feeling beautiful in your own skin and supporting the successful women around you. Lately if its not on popular blogs, its instagram comments and all the sudden you find yourself making a negative comment about another womans success. Why is that? I propose it goes back to the good ol' years of middle school. Girls learn at a young age to compete, compete for the boy, who has the best hair, or the best grades. Unfortunatly what I have been observing is that, things have not really changed all that much. So, the issue is on the table, but how can we fix it?  By simply letting go of our insecurities. Embrace who YOU are and look at the things in your life that you can be proud of, and as I always say the little things add up. Pretty soon you realize that the joy you have in your life, you can spread to others. Once that joy is spread its a Domino effect. So, here is your challenge, Compliment the woman you have been most envious of and be happy for the joys they have in their life as well as your own. Stay Fabulous! Taylor

  • In Honor of St. Patricks Day.....

Around this time last year, the Satori girls  posted one of our very first blog posts featuring the Dang Lucky T-shirt. This year, in honor of St. Patricks day, and our previous post, we wanted to share a little bit of luck with all of you! Let me start by saying, that we all have days where we feel down in the dumps, but we feel that counting all of the things we feel lucky, and/or blessed, to have in our lives. It is so easy to simply  overlook the small things, but honestly those small things are what matter! Although, it is fun to partake is St. Patty's day shenanigans, it is equally as rewarding to reflect upon what made us feel lucky this year. It could be something as big as, a promotion at work, celebrating ANOTHER successful year of marriage, or as small as, a stranger letting you go ahead of them at the coffee shop. Take a look at all the things you may have looked over this year and you might just find you have had quite a bit of luck! Have a fabulous week!

  • Beating The Winter Rut On The Quest For Spring

We all feel it.  It is that feeling right around March where you can see spring over the horizon but the weather indicates anything but. Here in Indiana, where Satori is located,  we just had two magnificent days of 50 degree weather. Everyones spirits were lifted and excited about purchasing new spring items. This, however, was short lived. The Midwest was just hit with yet ANOTHER winter storm. I watched peoples disapointment spread all over social media, not to mention feeling my own disapointment. Then I remembered how  short life really is. Although, yes it is exhausting, and yes the lack of sunlight leads to a lack of a smile, there are still things you can do to make yourself feel amazing and get yourself through this last leg of winter! 1. Who says spring can't be indoors? Buy some flowers and put them in a room that you spend the most time in. Make sure they are bright. Colors like yellow, are proven to make a person feel happier. 2. Buy a spring token. Right around this time I will purchase something small and colorful that I think would work perfectly with the new spring trends. Whether it be something small, like the hottest new hue of lipstick for the upcoming season, or a fabulous new top that keeps you excited and moving forward. Check out the fun Satori spring pieces that will fit perfectly into any wardrobe. 3. Enjoy the taste of spring. I always start drinking my favorite spring drinks this time of year. This small spring treat keeps me excited and raises my spirits on the last of the cold winter days. -Stay Fabulous!
